Luxury cat accommodation, available for short or long term stays

Coronavirus Update

In these uncertain times, we ask all of our clients to please ensure that you have adequate insurance, even if you are travelling within the UK. Should your travel or holiday plans be disrupted due to Covid-19 you will still be expected to honour the terms of your booking. We are a small business and may have turned away other cat guests to accommodate your pet. Unfortunately we simply can't afford to leave our cat suites empty. We hope you understand and thank you for your continued support during this challenging period.

For more information about our rates and terms please see below.

Our rates are inclusive of Whiskas/Felix/Gocat (we request that you provide your cat’s regular food if it differs from what we offer), heating, grooming and cuddles!

Medications and Vaccinations

Please discuss your cat's specific medical requirements with Dee when you book. All of our cat carers are trained in the use of inhalers and the administration of pills, and Dee can also administer insulin for our diabetic cat guests.

All cats must have an up-to-date record card of their vaccinations for feline flu and enteritis, showing their annual booster vaccination given within the last 12 months. This must be brought with you on arrival. Kitten's first vaccinations (we require both initial vaccinations) should be completed at least 28 days before boarding. Older cats should have their annual vaccination at least 28 days before their stay with us. Cats will be unable to stay with us unless you bring their valid, up-to-date vaccination records.  The health of all the cats that stay with us is of paramount importance and therefore we can make no exceptions.

All cats are expected to be de-wormed and flea-free, using a product purchased from the vet, even if they are house cats. You will need to inform us of the flea and worming products used, and the treatment date, upon arrival. Some of the cats that stay with us are allergic to fleas so please use treatments obtained from your vet - over the counter products are just no longer effective. If your cats are found to have fleas or worms during their stay, we will treat them at an additional charge of £25.00.

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, we will immediately seek veterinary care (either your veterinary practice if they are nearby, or our own vets who are just 5 minutes away). If your cat displays signs of illness during its stay with us, we reserve the right to seek veterinary advice, and if necessary have the cat continue its holiday at the vets. The cost of this will be payable by the owner on collection of their cat/s. There will be a vet transfer fee charged of £20 per visit. In all cases we will contact you at the earliest opportunity and keep you informed throughout the process.

All cats over 6 months must be neutered.

CORONAVIRUS LATEST:

All vaccinations must now be up-to-date in order for your cat to stay with us. During lockdown it was difficult to get cats to the vets for routine treatments such as vaccinations. HOWEVER, this is no longer the case. The terms of our licence (issued by Defra), our own terms and conditions and our insurance dictate that all cats must be fully vaccinated for the duration of their stay. This is common practice in all UK catteries. Some vets are still catching up on their vaccination schedules and are indicating that this isn't an issue for the cat's health. Although this is true, as a licenced cattery we unfortunately cannot accept cat guests without a current vaccination certificate.

Terms and Conditions

The pre-booked arrival day, departure day and all days in-between are charged at the full daily rate (even if you arrive later or depart earlier than your booking).

Full payment is required at the time of booking. You have the right to cancel your booking by telephone or email within 7 days of making the booking without penalty. After this period, we require a minimum of 14 days written notice prior to the expected arrival date in order to cancel the booking, otherwise the full fee will be retained. In the event of a late booking (within 7 days of the arrival date), your cancellation rights extend until the expected date of arrival, otherwise the full fee is payable. Please let us know if you no longer require the booking as soon as possible.

Payments are accepted by cash or bank transfer (please note, due to our rural location and poor broadband signal, we are unable to process card payments at this time).

For your first stay we request that you print a Booking Form and Vet Authority Form and return it to us. We will not confirm your cat's accommodation until we receive these forms with your full payment. We reserve the right to re-book your suite if no Booking Form / Vet Authority Form / deposit has been received.
